Very predictable result when sixth rankedBraunschweig (14-11) smashed at home 15th ranked Bamberg (10-16) 114-88 on Sunday. Braunschweig made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) who scored 23 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Sananda Fru (209-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. American swingman Ibrahim Watson-Boye (196-1998, college: Dayton) produced 24 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Kyle Lofton (190-1999, college: Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Five Braunschweig and four Bamberg players scored in double figures. Bamberg's coach Anton Gavel gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Braunschweig moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vechta. Bamberg lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Braunschweig will meet league's leader Bayern in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bamberg will have a break next round.
