Not a big story in a game in Trier where 18th rankedVechta-2 (4-27) was rolled over by second ranked Gladiators (24-7) 129-105 on Saturday. Trier shot 64.2 percent from the field and made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game, while Vechta 2 only scored six points from the stripe. Trier had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Vechta 2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (196-1995, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side Danish guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2002) responded with 27 points and American swingman Luke House (193, college: Drexel) scored 24 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trier maintains second place with 24-7 record having five points less than leader Jena. Vechta 2 lost their ninth game in a row. They stay dead last with 27 lost games.
