Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Frankfurt Makk. (5-20) lost on the road to seventh ranked Stuttgart MVT (14-11) 71-65 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-1990) who scored that evening 26 points and Italian Paolo Tosi (202-1999) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by Calvin Schaum (204-2002) did not help to save the game for Frankfurt Makk.. Rodi Cicek (199-2001) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Stuttgart MVT maintains seventh position with 14-11 record. Frankfurt Makk. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 20 games lost. Stuttgart MVT will meet higher ranked Lich Basketball (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Frankfurt Makk. will play against Mannheim (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
