Rather predictable result when tenth rankedALBA Berlin (15-13) defeated at home 13th ranked Telekom Baskets (13-15) 102-88 on Wednesday. ALBA shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American Matt Thomas (195-1994, college: Iowa St.) who scored 34 points (!!!). The former international power forward Michael Kessens (206-1991, college: FIU) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. American point guard Darius McGhee (175-1999, college: Liberty) produced 30 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian forward Thomas Kennedy (206-2000, college: Windsor) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for ALBA Berlin . They maintain tenth place with 15-13 record. Loser Telekom Baskets keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost.
