Very expected game when 16th rankedSkyliners (8-23) were defeated on the road by fifth ranked Braunschweig (17-13) 79-72 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Braunschweig made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) who scored 12 points and 8 assists. Forward Sananda Fru (209-2003) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. American-North Macedonian point guard Jordan Theodore (183-1989, college: Seton Hall) produced 13 points and 4 assists and Canadian forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X., agency: Players Group) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Braunschweig moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chemnitz. Frankfurt lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 23 games lost.
