Regular Season Round 3: Jena - Bad Homburg 69-80

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Jena (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Falcons (3-0) 80-69. Bad Homburg forced 31 Jena turnovers. The best player for the winners was who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals. chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Falcons players scored in double figures. Falcons' coach Jay Brown used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Cianna Gloster (183-2002, college: Shawnee St.) added 17 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Falcons is looking forward to face Bamberg (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jena will play against Freiburg 2 (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
