The most surprising game was the first loss ofMarburg (3-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (2-1) 68-50 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Marburg. ALBA Berlin made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Marburg turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Deeshyra Thomas (170-1995, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side American center Allyson Fertig (193, college: Wyoming) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Marianna Byvatov scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth position with 2-1 record. Marburg at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Keltern and Hannover.
