The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Panthers' (1-2) road loss to fifth ranked Stars (3-1) 69-77 on Sunday. Keltern outrebounded Osnabrueck 41-22 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international point guard Alexandra Wilke (175-1996) fired 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian-Hungarian center Alexandria Kiss-Rusk (194-1993, college: McGill) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Stars' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import power forward Brianna Rollerson (185-1994, college: Creighton) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Stars have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Marburg and Hannover. Loser Panthers keeps the sixth position with two games lost. Keltern will meet Noerdlingen (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osnabrueck will play against Marburg and hope to win that game.
