There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedALBA Berlin (2-2) beat at home 4th placed Bayern Muenchen (3-1) 67-61 on Sunday. The former international point guard Jack Kayil (191-2006) stepped up and scored 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands forward JWan Roberts (203-2001, college: Houston) chipped in 12 points. ALBA Berlin's coach Pedro Calles used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Justinian Jessup (201-1998, college: Boise St.) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and international Andreas Obst (191-1996) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. ALBA moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending champion Bayern keeps the fourth position with one game lost.
