UndefeatedMBC (5-1) recorded its first loss in Weissenfels. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (3-2) 93-82 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of MBC. Ludwigsburg outrebounded Weissenfels 42-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. American guard Tray Buchanan (187-1998, college: Emporia St.) scored 32 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Elijah Hughes (198-1998, college: Syracuse) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach Mikko Riipinen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Charles Callison (185-1995, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) with 16 points and 6 assists and Croatian-Bosnian forward Jure Planinic (206-2000) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five Weissenfels players scored in double figures. Ludwigsburg moved-up to sixth place, which they share with ALBA and Bamberg. Weissenfels at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Trier and Wuerzburg.
