The game between second rankedMBC (5-2) and sixth ranked ALBA Berlin MBC was defeated by ALBA Berlin in a tough game in Berlin 80-88 . ALBA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-1994, college: LIU Brooklyn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. American forward Justin Bean (201-1996, college: Utah St.) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. ALBA Berlin's coach Pedro Calles used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Croatian-Bosnian forward Jure Planinic (206-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Khyri Thomas (190-1996, college: Creighton) scored 16 points. Four ALBA and five Weissenfels players scored in double figures. ALBA Berlin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ludwigsburg. Weissenfels at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Wuerzburg.
