Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedSchwelm (5-3) outscored at home bottom-ranked Vechta-2 (0-8) 100-74 on Saturday. Schwelm dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Vechta-2 's 36. Schwelm outrebounded Vechta 2 41-23 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Zyon Patterson (201-2000, college: HSU) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Marius Stoll chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists. Guard Roy Krupnikas (186-2006) produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and center Akim-Jamal Jonah (210-1998, college: San Diego) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Five Schwelm and four Vechta 2 players scored in double figures. Vechta-2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Schwelm maintains fourth position with 5-3 record, which they share with Itzehoe. Loser Vechta-2 still closes the standings with eight games lost.
