Regular Season Round 7: Halle - Osnabrueck 79-81

The most exciting game of round 7 in the DBBL took place in Halle. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Halle (1-6) to sixth ranked Panthers (4-2) 81-79 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for American guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) who led her team to a victory scoring 32 points and 5 rebounds. Her fellow American import power forward Brianna Rollerson (185-1994, college: Creighton) helped adding 15 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and scored 15 points and 5 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Four Halle players scored in double figures. Panthers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Osnabrueck moved-up to third place. Halle at the other side dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Freiburg. Osnabrueck are looking forward to face Herner (#7) at home in the next round. Halle will play against Noerdlingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
