The most exciting game of round 9 in the ProB took place in Ulm. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 8th rankedKangaroos (5-5) to second ranked OrangeAcademy (7-3) 73-72 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kangaroos. OrangeAcad. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. OrangeAcad. outrebounded Leitershofen 49-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for French Meissa Faye (198-2007) who saved his team from a defeat with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Teo Milicic contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Jamaican guard Brian Dawson (188-1999, college: Regis Univ., agency: Origins Sports Group) answered with 16 points and 5 assists and center Tom Alte (207-1995) added 5 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Leitershofen. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. OrangeAcad. maintains second place with 7-3 record having four points less than leader Coburg, which they share with Fellbach. Leitershofen at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost.
