There was an upset when higher rankedTelekom Baskets (4-4) were defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Braunschweig (3-5) 89-80 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish point guard Barra Njie (191-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 assists and American guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 23 points during the contest. Braunschweig's coach Konstantinos Papazoglou used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Grayson Murphy (187-1999, college: Belmont) responded with 15 points and his fellow American import forward Tylan Birts (198-1996, college: Barry) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Braunschweig moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Ulm. Loser Telekom Baskets dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Chemnitz.
