There was a minor upset when 8th rankedAschersleben (5-7) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Bremerhaven (5-8) 108-86 on Saturday. Bremerhaven dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Aschersleben 's 50. The best player for the winners was Mitja Kruhl who scored 24 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Daniel Almarante chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Five Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Bremerhaven's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Dutch guard Joryam Saizonou (190-2002, college: UNCG) who recorded 28 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American center Matthew Lane (216-2002, college: Molloy) added 7 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Bremerhaven maintains tenth position with 5-8 record, which they share with Lichterfelde and Haspe. Loser Aschersleben dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost.
