No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedJena (6-3) crushed at home bottom-ranked Ulm (0-9) 74-46 on Sunday. Jena dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Ulm 's 18. Jena forced 21 Ulm turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Ulm 's players. Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American guard Laila Walker (165-2002, college: Biola, CA) supported her with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Jena's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Cecelia Collins (183-2003, college: Columbia) did not help to save the game for Ulm . added 9 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Jena moved-up to third place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Loser Ulm still closes the standings with nine games lost. They share the position with Huerther BC. Jena will meet Bamberg (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Ulm will play against Wasserburg (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
