Important game to mention about took place in Ulm. Thirteenth rankedratiopharm Ulm (5-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Rasta Vechta (4-5) 77-75 in the game for the eleventh place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rasta Vechta. Ulm made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Vechta outrebounded Ulm 41-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American Justin Simon (196-1996, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international point guard Nelson Weidemann (190-1999) supported him with 15 points. Even 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists by American guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Vechta . His fellow American import guard Tevin Brown (195-1998, college: Murray St.) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Five Ulm and four Vechta players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ulm moved-up to eleventh place. Vechta at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Jena.
