There was no surprise when 8th rankedFalcons (6-6) lost to fifth ranked Artland Dragons (8-4) in Nuernberg 92-104 on Sunday. Artland dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Falcons 's 40. The winners were led by American-Syrian guard Amir Hinton (196-1997, college: Shaw) who scored that evening 31 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American forward Benjamin Burnham (202-2002, college: Virginia Tech) supported him with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Even 31 points and 4 assists by American guard Evan Taylor (196-1996, college: Nebraska) did not help to save the game for Nuernberg . Julius Wolf (205-1993) added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Artland moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bremerhaven. Loser Falcons keeps the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
