Regular Season Round 11: Chemnitz - Rostock 97-92

There was an upset when higher ranked Seawolves (5-5) were defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Chemnitz (5-6) 97-92 on Saturday. Strangely Rostock outrebounded Chemnitz 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for naturalized Ivorian forward Kevin Yebo (207-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Ty Brewer (201-2000, college: UAB) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. American guard TJ Crockett (187-1999, college: Lindenwood) responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds and Polish point guard Lukasz Kolenda (195-1999) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chemnitz moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Seawolves dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Ludwigsburg and Vechta. Chemnitz will meet higher ranked Weissenfels (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rostock will play against ALBA (#5) and hope to secure a win.
