Everything went according to plan when eighth rankedTelekom Baskets (7-6) outplayed on the road bottom-ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (2-10) 100-67 on Saturday. Bonn dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to MLP Academics Heidelberg 's 24. They outrebounded Heidelberg 41-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bonn looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by the former international power forward Michael Kessens (206-1991, college: FIU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) supported him with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Samuell Williamson (203-2000, college: SMU) did not help to save the game for Heidelberg . His fellow American import Eric Reed Jr (192-2000, college: MSU) added 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bonn moved-up to seventh place. Heidelberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost.
