There was no surprise when 14th rankedScience City Jena (4-7) lost on the road to twelfth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (6-5) 91-82 on Saturday. Ludwigsburg outrebounded Jena 47-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Tray Buchanan (187-1998, college: Emporia St.) who scored that evening 26 points and the other American import swingman Elijah Hughes (198-1998, college: Syracuse) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Even 27 points and 6 assists by Maltese-American point guard Eric Washington (183-1993, college: Miami, OH) did not help to save the game for Jena . American guard Keith Braxton (196-1997, college: SFU) added 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ludwigsburg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bamberg. Jena lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with seven games lost.
