Very expected game when 14th rankedScience City Jena (4-8) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Telekom Baskets (8-6) 92-80 on Monday. Bonn forced 20 Jena turnovers. Strangely Jena outrebounded Bonn 46-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. American point guard Zach Cooks (175-1999, college: Hofstra) fired 20 points for the winners. His fellow American import forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) chipped in 18 points. American swingman Joe Wieskamp (198-1999, college: Iowa) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and Lorenz Bank (198-2001) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bonn moved-up to sixth place. Jena lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Braunschweig.
