There was an upset when higher rankedKirchheim Knights (9-7) were defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Bayreuth (6-10) 99-90 on Saturday. Bayreuth made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Moritz Plescher (195-2000) fired 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Lenny Liedtke (198-2004) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Tylan Pope (198-2001, college: Texas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian forward Abu Kigab (200-1998, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Bayreuth and four Kirchheim players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bayreuth moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Paderborn and Koeln. Loser Kirchheim Knights keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Giessen 46ers.
