No shocking result in a game when twelfth rankedSeawolves (7-6) beat on the road 14th ranked Science City Jena (5-9) 89-82 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard TJ Crockett (187-1999, college: Lindenwood) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. American guard Keith Braxton (196-1997, college: SFU) came up with 23 points and 7 assists and Maltese-American point guard Eric Washington (183-1993, college: Miami, OH) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for Jena in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rostock moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Jena dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Rostock will meet at home Weissenfels (#12) in the next round. Jena will play against Braunschweig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
