Regular Season Round 15: Ulm - Braunschweig 72-59
Date: January 10, 2026
Very predictable result when seventh rankedratiopharm Ulm (9-6) won against at home 16th ranked Braunschweig (4-10) 72-59 on Saturday. Ulm forced 19 Braunschweig turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ulm made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Ghanian-American Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John's) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures. Slovenian Luka Scuka (207-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points respectively for Braunschweig in the defeat. Braunschweig's coach Konstantinos Papazoglou rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ulm moved-up to fifth place. Loser Braunschweig keeps the sixteenth position with ten games lost. Ulm will meet Hamburg (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Braunschweig will play against Jena and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
