Fourth-rankedTelekom Baskets (9-7) were very close to win a game against first ranked Bayern Muenchen (13-1) on Sunday. Bayern Muenchen managed to secure only three-point victory 66-63 . However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Telekom Baskets. Bayern made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for international Andreas Obst (191-1996) who led his team to a victory with 17 points. Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (191-1994, college: FSU) contributed with 6 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-1997) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) added 15 points in the effort for Bonn. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bayern Muenchen have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Bonn at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.
