Jena forced 22 Ulm turnovers and outrebounded them 59-33 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jena made 8 blocks. Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Cianna Gloster (183-2002, college: Shawnee St.) accounted for 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. Gloster is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Jena players scored in double figures. Sitori Van Buren came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Anneke Schluter (178-1995) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Ulm in the defeat. Ulm's coach Dominik Jussel gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Jena moved-up to third place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Ulm lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 12 games lost.
