Regular Season Round 14: Noerdlingen - Halle 60-69

The biggest surprise of round 14 in DBBL was guest Halle's (#7) road victory over Noerdlingen (#8) 69-60 on Sunday evening. Halle outrebounded Angels 43-27 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Liz Smith (175, college: Pacific) who scored 7 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Romy Baer (187-1987) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Chanel Ndi (184-2006) produced 18 points and American forward Natalie Kucowski (190-1998, college: Lafayette, agency: LBM Management) added 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Halle maintains seventh position with 6-8 record. Noerdlingen at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Halle are looking forward to face Herner (#9) at home in the next round. Noerdlingen will play against Hannover and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
