Very expected game when 11th rankedMainz (4-12) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Stuttgart MVT (8-8) 91-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Greek guard Vaseleios Lampropoulos (196-1990) who scored 25 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Slovenian guard Luka Milovac (192-1994) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Ben Karbe (203-2002, college: GVSU) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Nico Brauner (187-1994, college: St.Mary's) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Mainz players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Stuttgart MVT maintains seventh place with 8-8 record. Loser Mainz keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ulm BBU 01 and Soeflingen.
