Fifteenth-rankedFreibeuter (5-12) gave a tough game to second ranked Bargteheide (16-2) in Berlin. The visitors from Bargteheide managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87 . However their fans expected much easier game. Freibeuter was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Abdulai Abaker (185-1996) nailed 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side and center Yngve Jentz (207-1997) accounted for 7 points and 13 rebounds. Bela Kohoff (202-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Amar Kustura (191-2005) added 22 points respectively for Freibeuter in the defeat. Freibeuter's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bargteheide have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Grevenbroich. Freibeuter lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 12 games lost.
