No shocking result in a game when eighth rankedEnBW Ludwigsburg (9-7) smashed at home 16th ranked Braunschweig (4-12) 86-62 on Saturday. Ludwigsburg outrebounded Braunschweig 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Cuban Yorman Polas-Bartolo (191-1985) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Jamaican-Canadian guard Stefan Smith (187-1999, college: St.John's, agency: Players Group) chipped in 14 points. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Canadian center Simi Shittu (208-1999, college: Vanderbilt) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Dutch forward David NGuessan (206-2000, college: Kansas St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ludwigsburg moved-up to seventh place. Braunschweig lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 12 games lost.
