Very expected game in Weissenfels where 12th rankedMBC (7-10) was rolled over by third ranked Gladiators (11-5) 110-84 on Saturday. Trier dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to MBC ' 36 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Trier looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Weissenfels ' players. American guard Steven Ashworth (185-2000, college: Creighton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners and forward Marten Linssen (203-1998, college: St.Louis) chipped in 18 points. American point guard Charles Callison (185-1995, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 20 points and naturalized American Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Five Trier and four Weissenfels players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gladiators .
