The game had a very big importance for second-rankedOrangeAcademy as it allowed them to take a leadership position. OrangeAcademy smashed 9th ranked Langen in Ulm 99-80 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Langen. The best player for the winners was Dutch center Endurance Aiyamenkhue (210-2007) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). French Meissa Faye (198-2007) chipped in 26 points. OrangeAcademy's coach Florian Flabb used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jacob Washington (203-1999, college: CSUDH) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Niklas Pons (192-1999) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively. Five OrangeAcad. and four Langen players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Coburg. Langen at the other side dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Frankfurt Jrs.
