Bottom-rankedMuenster managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they edged seventh-ranked 46ers in Giessen 77-74 . American swingman Andrew OBrien (201, college: Southwestern, KS) orchestrated the victory by scoring 4 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import forward Nicholas McMullen (203-2002, college: Georgia St.) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Muenster players scored in double figures. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-1996, college: Xavier) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international forward Robin Benzing (208-1989) added 16 points in the effort for Giessen 46ers. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Muenster (5-15) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Wolmirstedt and Leverkusen. Giessen 46ers at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost.
