Very expected game when 11th ranked Hurricanes (4-11) lost to fourth ranked ChemCats (11-5) in Rotenburg 56-66 on Sunday. The winners were led by Jessica Kluge (176-1998) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Lilly Kuppers (183-2004) supported her with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four ChemCats players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 assists by the former international guard Pia Mankertz (170-1990) did not help to save the game for Rotenburg. American guard Kendall Nead (180-2002, college: Milwaukee) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. ChemCats have a solid four-game winning streak. Chemnitz maintains fourth position with 11-5 record. Rotenburg lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Chemnitz will meet at home league's second-placed Leverkusen in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rotenburg will play against Bochum (#5) and hope to secure a win.
