The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedBayern Muenchen (15-2) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked ratiopharm Ulm (10-8) 79-62 . It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. Ulm made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a good game for Ghanian-American Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American guard Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (191-1994, college: FSU) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Justinian Jessup (201-1998, college: Boise St.) added 14 points in the effort for Bayern. Ulm moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bamberg. Defending champion Bayern still keeps top position with two games lost.
