ProA top team -Phoenix Hagen (19-3) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Uni Baskets (8-14) in Paderborn 99-93 . Phoenix Hagen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Uni Baskets 's 32 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Phoenix Hagen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Dutch center Lucas NGuessan (213-1997, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Marcus Graves (185-1996, college: Sacramento St.) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Danish guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2002) answered with 26 points and 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Branden Maughmer (190-1999, college: Morehead St., agency: Helping Ballers) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Paderborn. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Phoenix Hagen have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-3 record. Paderborn at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Bayreuth and Tuebingen.
