No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedJena (11-5) outleveled on the road 10th ranked Leimen (3-12) 80-58 on Saturday. Jena outrebounded Leimen 44-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. Jena looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Taylor Robertson (180-2000, college: Oklahoma) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Carolin Schmidt (170-2000) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and American forward Mallory Brodnik (188-2001, college: Chicago Univ.) added 15 points and 5 steals respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jena moved-up to third place. Leimen lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost.
