Very important is a road loss of third rankedEagles (14-8) against twelfth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (8-14) on Saturday night. Visiting Eagles were crushed by Dragons Rhoendorf in Rhoendorf 107-88 . They made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Rhoendorf outrebounded Itzehoe 40-29 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rhoendorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Spanish guard Jorge Mejias (190-2001, college: TAMIU) notched a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and American Juhwan Harris-Dyson (198-1999, college: California, agency: Origins Sports Group) supported him with 18 points. Four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Even 31 points (made all of his seven free throws) by swingman Lucien Schmikale (194-1997) did not help to save the game for Itzehoe . Forward Toni Nickel (204-2001) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rhoendorf moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Iserlohn. Loser Eagles keeps the third position with eight games lost.
