Very expected game when 9th rankedBremerhaven (8-16) was crushed on the road by third ranked Braunschweig (17-6) 95-72 on Saturday. Braunschweig forced 25 Bremerhaven turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Simon Roosch (198-2001) who scored 29 points. Guard Esli Edigin (193-2005, college: NW Florida St.) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Lukas Stelmokas produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Daniel Almarante (173-2000, college: N.Essex CC) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Braunschweig maintains third place with 17-6 record having just fourteen point less than leader Charlottenburg, which they share with Ibbenbueren. Bremerhaven lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Oldenburger TB.
