Very expected game when 17th rankedBraunschweig (5-17) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Bamberg (13-9) 88-81 on Friday. American guard Matthew Crowley (196-2000, college: Southern Miss) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The other American import swingman Demarcus Demonia (201-1999, college: ETAMU) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Demonia is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-1994, college: Carleton) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Grant Sherfield (188-1999, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bamberg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ulm. Loser Braunschweig keeps the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Heidelberg.
