There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedUlm BBU 01 (7-16) beat at home higher ranked Saarlouis (15-8) 76-65 on Saturday. Ulm BBU 01 outrebounded Saarlouis 39-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Tobias Holbach (206-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Dutch forward Yanu Slingerland (194-2008) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Jordan Camper (203, college: Lincoln, PA) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and Estonian point guard Jorke Aav (184-2005) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Four Saarlouis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ulm BBU 01 moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Karlsruhe PS 2. Loser Saarlouis keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
