We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth rankedTalents (11-8) defeated 5th ranked ChemCats (11-8) in Chemnitz 70-65 on Saturday. Rhoendorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rhoendorf made 9 blocks. The winners were led by point guard Lea Wolff (166-1997, college: EWU, agency: Dagger Basket) who scored that evening 14 points and 7 assists and point guard Nicola Happel (164-1992) supported her with 12 points and 5 assists. Four Talents players scored in double figures. Talents' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Erin Stroberg (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) did not help to save the game for Chemnitz . Swingman Lilly Kuppers (183-2004) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Talents have a solid four-game winning streak. Rhoendorf moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Chemnitz.
