This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-rankedBasCats (13-5) to third ranked Jena (13-5) 66-63 in the game for the second place. American guard Jayla Oden (173, college: Penn State) replied with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and her fellow American import power forward Melanie Hoyt (188-2003, college: St.Anselm) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Heidelberg. BasCats' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jena have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Heidelberg and Bochum.
