Regular Season Round 27: Artland - Koblenz 96-90

There was no surprise when 9th rankedKoblenz (12-15) lost to seventh ranked Artland Dragons (16-11) in Quakenbrueck 90-96 on Sunday. Artland made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Benjamin Burnham (202-2002, college: Virginia Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. American-Syrian guard Amir Hinton (196-1997, college: Shaw) accounted for 33 points (!!!) for the winning side. American forward DJ Jeffries (201-1999, college: MSU) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Calvin Wishart (188-1999, college: UCSB) added 16 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Koblenz in the defeat. Four Artland and five Koblenz players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Artland moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Giessen 46ers and Kirchheim. Loser Koblenz keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe PS.
