There was a surprise result in Karlsruhe where thirteenth rankedLions-2 (8-16) edged higher ranked Bensheim (8-16) 81-80 on Sunday. Strangely Bensheim outrebounded Karlsruhe PS 2 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Montenegrin-Croatian forward Pavle Danilovic (200-1999) fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. point guard David Scheu (185-2003) chipped in 17 points. Felix Becker produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Marc Liyanage (199-1990, college: Delta St.) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Five Bensheim players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Karlsruhe PS 2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Bensheim . Bensheim lost third consecutive game.
