There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedBayreuth (12-16) beat at home higher ranked 46ers (16-12) 89-79 on Saturday. Bayreuth made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Giessen 46ers turnovers. Naturalized American forward Cantia Rahming (201-2001, college: USA) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Rayshawn Mart (190-1998, college: Xavier, LA) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Mart is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-1996, college: Xavier) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Slovakian point guard Simon Krajcovic (188-1994, college: LMU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. 46ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bayreuth moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Koblenz. Loser 46ers dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost.
