There was no surprise in Allmendingen where 3rd rankedEhingen/Urspringschule (17-8) was defeated by first ranked Schwenningen (23-2) 93-80 on Saturday. Schwenningen shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Ehingen 's players. The best player for the winners was Kosovan-Croatian Denis Zenelaj (200-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 assists. Joshua Burgunder (194-2001) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Schwenningen players scored in double figures. point guard Tim Martinez (198-2002) produced 29 points (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and Latrell Grokopf added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Schwenningen have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-2 record. Loser Ehingen/Urspringschule keeps the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with SC Wizards and Saarlouis.
