Rather predictable result when third ranked Jena (15-5) won against on the road 5th ranked Wasserburg (11-9) 76-66 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Taylor Robertson (180-2000, college: Oklahoma) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) accounted for 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Australian Neseya Williams (190-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Spanish guard Alejandra Mastral-Lejarraga (170-2003, college: RMU) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists respectively for Wasserburg in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Jena. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Heidelberg. Wasserburg lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Freiburg 2. Jena will meet at home Freiburg 2 (#6) in the next round. Wasserburg will play against Mainz and hope to secure a win.
